In the then USSR, it was considered vital to read, be educated and cultural. O a large degree, the Russian youth of that era was shielded from the huge movements in Rock ‘n Roll by such huge bands as Led Zeppeline, but they would not be denied. This music was smuggled into the country and widely shared through bootleg tapes. Did these bands ever know how popular they became behind the iron curtain back in the 70’s and 80’s?
