Monty was born in Germany and grew up in Tarifa / Spain, where he completely committed himself to water sports. As a teenager, Monty and his friends started filming each other on the water which made him discover his passion for filmmaking. Over the years he focused more and more on his new passion, working as a freelance filmmaker on smaller sports related projects. In 2014 he moved to Hamburg / Germany to work for a production company as a DoP and Editor. In 2016 he wrote and directed a kiteboarding campaign which led to the short film ABOUT STEVEN. In 2017, preproduction started for his latest short film project “ZITATE FÜRS LEBEN”, which is currently screened on film festivals.
