Tebogo Chologi love for filmmaking grew out of his love for art. He completed a qualification in Film and Television Production wherein he has written, directed and produced two films, Inmate and Mobocracy, and Mobocracy won the best student film award in 2015. In 2015 he directed and produced a local film, Ghetto Situations. December 2016 to May 2017 he facilitated filming classes at Mahikeng SABC through NEMISA. He was a judge in the 2018 and 2019 SAFTA’s. 2019 saw the production of Lesedi, The Light, written, directed and produced by him, which was selected for screening at the Lavuth’ Ibhayi Short Film Festival, Port Elizabeth. During the national lockdown in South Africa due to the COVID-19, he directed and produced a short experimental art film called The Shack which has won an award for Best Arthouse Film at the 2020 Kismet Film Festival in the United States of America; and he also won an award for Best Director at the 2020 UMgungundlovu Film Festival in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu Natal.
