Salim El Arja

As two emerging female writers and directors we knew that we wanted to create a film based on the landscape of multilingualism in South Africa, the Afrikaner culture and LGBTQIA+ bodies to question the moments of intimacy and love that grows in between these spaces and borders created within society, as these are realities that both of us know and experience on a day-to-day basis. We knew that we wanted to create a process of collaboration, drawing on the various strengths of each other in order to create a film that speaks to the truth of the story.
