I am from a small town in the Eastern Cape called Alice. After I matriculated in 2015 I decided to move to Johannesburg to study film and television, and I will be graduating this year. My love for storytelling was inspired by my aunt as we would gather around her and she would tell us African stories. I am a good listener and I am always captured by great stories. I am a critical thinker, a fast learner and I have good communication and problem solving skills. These skills have been developed through group work in University where we would be forced to create good work even while working under pressure. Our film Numb was inspired by the need to not “feel” when life becomes too hard. As a director it was such an amazing project to work on as it was something very interesting to put together. One of our challenges was creating our own fictional world where people go to a facility to get their emotions wiped out. I was working with two great actors and I enjoyed directing them.
