Subrat Kumar Sahu is an independent filmmaker, journalist, and researcher based in New Delhi, India. After working in the television and print/publishing media for many years, he has been making documentary films independently for the past 12 years on issues ranging from the environment, ecology, rights movements, disability, education to cultures. His approach to filmmaking is essentially to bring forth peoples’ perspectives and narratives on issues that the mainstream media fails to highlight. He has been writing for many print and web media along side. He is also associated with many peoples’ movements in India.
