Siyabonga Mbele is a South African born filmmaker currently residing in Johannesburg. He is to graduate with an honours in Film & Television Production at the University of Witwatersrand 2020. He has won numerous awards & nominations, including having his student films reach the student Oscars in 2019 also winning Best Director at the Wits Film & TV Awards for three consecutive years. His filmography includes, Moya, Nocturnal, & Unborn among other films he has produced in his years at university. He also own a production company called Vaporwave Media whereby he directs music videos, commercials, & narrative films. He aspires to establish Africa as film capital & is passionate about telling stories which are sidelined by society & innovating African cinema. His passion derives from capturing & conveying the human experience using the cinematic form of film as accurately as possible.
