FRIED BARRY is a film completely out of the ordinary - a first in the history of South African cinema. It's a truly underground, cult film that is set to make its mark on world cinema. Barry is a drug-addled, abusive bastard who - after yet another bender - is abducted by aliens. Barry takes a backseat as an alien visitor assumes control of his body and takes it for a joyride through Cape Town, South Africa. What follows is an onslaught of drugs, sex and violence as our alien tourist enters the weird and wonderful world of humankind. Fried Barry had its world premiere at the prestigious CINEQUEST Film Festival in the US. Cinequest was voted Best Film Festival by USA Today readers and Fried Barry joins the ranks of previous filmmakers hosted by the festival including Harrison Ford, JJ Abrams and James Franco.
