Carmen Sangion
After finishing high school in 1995 Carmen Sangion attended Newton’s Film and Television School where she excelled in two of her majors, cinematography and editing. During her stay at the film school Carmen won a best editor’s award for a short film at the Bukino Faso Film Festival. After the completion of her diploma Carmen was offered an internship at a Johannesburg based film production company called Films2People now called Ochre. The producers of Soul City and the critically acclaimed Nelson Mandela documentary on which Carmen was an assistant editor and postproduction co-ordinator. After realising that her heart lay in direction Carmen left her job at Films2People and has since been working on building up her director’s showreel.
