Early one beautiful Karoo morning, a farming family is disrupted as a convoy of fracking trucks arrives unwelcomingly on their farm. A corporate lobbyist explains that John can do nothing about their intentions to frack their land as the government has granted licences for it. Lily, John’s daughter, eavesdrops as her parents argue about John’s next move in his fight against fracking and corporate greed. As a last resort, John sets explosives on the fracking pad. Lily, caught in the explosion, is thrust into a dystopian future where disastrous truths about the consequences of fracking are revealed. She wakes up from her nightmare screaming. A horrific dream where she’s seen the bleak future if Fracking is not discontinued. Lily runs down the farm road to prevent the fracking convoy from entering their land. John arrives and hits the corporate lobbyist to the ground after the lobbyist violently grabs Lily while she stand in the way of the trucks. Farm hands and the local community join Lily and her family and all stand in the way of the fracking trucks together. They all stand together with a new sense of hope in the fight against the corporate lobbyist and fracking.
